Hanging with Fam

Bubba and I are loving watching Kendall interact with different members of his family. Most everyone either hasn't seen him since he was a couple months old or getting to see him for the first time. My mom has gotten to come up to Tyler a couple times since we've been home. Kendall has really enjoyed his time with his Grandmomma. The first time she came up Kendall was taking a nap when she got here. I think it took all she had not to go into his room and wake him up. That was the first time she had seen him since he was 2 months and she didn't want to wait a few more minutes. As soon as Kendall made the slightest indication that he was up, she was up and ready to get him. I had an appointment to get my hair done and wasn't planning on taking Kendall just because I knew it would take a while. Grandmomma couldn't stand the possibility of being away from Kendall that long, so Kendall came with us. He was really good, and I know my mom enjoyed that time she had with just him.

When we got back to the house the weather was beautiful, so went out to the front yard to play and take some pictures. Kendall is really starting to like standing up, and I have a feeling he will be walking soon. He had to show his Grandmomma his skills. He's also starting to get use to the grass. In Oman we have a small patch of grass, but it's so hot all the time that Kendall has never played in it. This was a brand new experience that I think he could get use to. I can't wait when we move back and watch Kendall with our two dogs, Mollie and Chloe, running around the backyard.

Another group of family we were very excited to see was Bubba's Aunt Paula and cousin Julie. They live in Houston and it's been about three years since we've seen them. They came to Tyler last Saturday to have lunch with us and to meet Kendall. It was great getting to catch up with them and for Kendall to meet more family.

Sunday we made a really quick trip to Texarkana to see Bubba's mom. We wanted to meet Jerry plus we couldn't wait to see what Judy thought about how big Kendall has gotten. She hadn't seen him since the first of the year. Also we wanted Judy to give Kendall his first haircut - pics to come on a future blog.

At Bubba's mom's house they have an electric piano that Kendall fell in love with. It plays all kinds of songs with different beats. He even got to where he knew how to turn it off and on. Kendall LOVES music and dancing. When a song comes on that he knows he gets the biggest smile on his face and gets down.

On the way home Monday, we stopped by Atlanta to see Bubba's dad. Jim works at Medicine Chest Pharmacy and as soon as we walked in all his techs came running over to Kendall. I think a few of them said they would take him home. Kendall loved seeing his Pappy and crawling around the pharmacy. When you get all three together - Bubba, Kendall, and Jim - it's crazy to see how much they look alike. The Wyninegar genes are strong that is for sure.

Kendall is a special little boy that has a lot of family that loves him beyond words. We hope everyone will get to spend more time with Kendall before we have to go back to Oman.
