Wonder who Landry is going to look like....

When I went to my first biweekly doctor's appointment my doc wanted to do a sonogram just to check Landry's size. With a family history of big babies and Kendall being 8 lbs 7 oz and having a big head, we just wanted to see what we were dealing with. The sonographer checked everything out, reconfirmed that we were still having a boy, and did some 3D pictures of Landry. Right now he is measuring about 2 weeks ahead and around 5 1/2 lbs. In the final weeks babies gain about a half a pound a week, so we are thinking Landry will be around 8-9 lbs at birth. The crazy part was as soon as we saw Landry's face, Bubba and I both said that he looks like Kendall. They really favor each other. Which is ok with us since Kendall is such a cutie pie ;) We really can't wait for Landry to get here now. We know he is going to be such an amazing addition to our family, and Kendall is going to be a wonderful big brother.

Kendall - 2 years old

I can't believe our baby boy is 2 years old now. It feels like just yesterday Bubba and I were on our way to the hospital to have him. We had a party for him on the 3rd and just a family day on his actual birthday. He is growing up way to fast for this momma.

Kendall's 2 year stats:

Height:  38" (125th %) - there is an old wives tale that says if you double a boys height at 2 yrs you will get what their height when they are an adult. According to that Kendall should be around 6' 4".

Weight:  35 lbs (120th %)

Clothes: 3T shirt/bottoms/pjs and 7 toddler shoe

New Words:
  • "There it is"
  • "There you are"
  • Train
  • Please
  • Thank you
  • Excuse me
  • Yellow
  • Some of the ABCs
Loves:
  • Making a fish face
  • Knuckle bumps
  • Chest bumps
  • Trains
  • Cars
  • Dancing
  • Singing
  • His dogs
  • School
  • Being outside
  • Helping Mommy & Daddy
  • Playing on his iPod
Sleeping:  He is now in a toddler bed so his sleep is hit or miss. He sleeps through the night, but gets up any where between 5:30 and 6 am. We are starting to get use to the early mornings and even get a lot done in the mornings.

32 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 32 Weeks - about 8 weeks to go

Size of baby: About the size of a Jicama. About 3 1/4 lbs and 16 in long

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  As of last week I had only gained 22 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Everything I wear is now maternity

Gender: Another BOY!!! Landry Cole Wyninegar

Movement: Oh my gosh....Landry is moving all the time. He is getting bigger so his punches are starting to hurt a little. You can see my stomach move every time he does.

Sleep: Hit or miss....not too bad

What I miss: Being able to move around easier. Also I'm on restricted travel starting now (won't be able to fly), so we will be staying around Tyler until the Little Mister gets here. Starting the 15th I will be going for check ups every two weeks, so I'll start to feel like I'm living at my doctor's office.

Cravings: Haven't really been craving anything specific. I have been baking a lot, but not really eating what I make. Poor Bubba isn't liking this stage just because he feels like he needs to eat everything I make.

Symptoms: Just aches and pains from a growing baby belly. Right now I have a cold so that makes things a little more interesting.

Best Moment this week: Kendall turning 2. I'm happy that he gets to spend one more birthday and Christmas by himself. I know his world is going to change so much once Landry comes, so Bubba and I are trying to spend some extra time to make things a little more special.

Landry Cole in 3D

A few weeks back Bubba, Kendall, and I went to Stork Vision to do a 3D/4D sonogram of Landry. When we got there we noticed that Landry was smashed up against my belly, so I had to lay on my side to get a clear picture of him. It's amazing what technology can do these days. I think Landry is going to favor his brother, but might actually look a little like me....one can hope. Here are some of our favorite pictures of our sweet baby boy #2.

Sweet baby boy

All balled up - he stays this way
most of the time

Already sticking his lip out - just like
his big brother does

28 Weeks.....3rd Trimester!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 Weeks - about 12 weeks to go

Size of baby: About the size of a Chinese cabbage. About 2 1/2 lbs and 14.8 in long

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  Around 23lbs....not too bad

Maternity Clothes: Everything I wear is now maternity

Gender: Another BOY!!! Landry Cole Wyninegar

Movement: He is getting bigger so his movements are more noticeable especially since he moves my belly when he moves.

Sleep: It's getting better.

What I miss: Being comfortable and not being tired all the time.

Cravings: I've been craving cookies a lot here lately and still having at least one DP a day.

Symptoms: Just aches and pains from a growing baby belly

Best Moment this week: Saturday Bubba, Kendall and I are going to Stork Vision to do a 3D/4D sono of Landry. This will be Kendall's first time to really see his baby brother. I can't wait to see what he does when he sees the baby for the first time.

I can't believe we only have about 12 weeks to go. Starting Dec. 15th I will start my 2 week check ups. Landry is going to be here before we know it. I can't wait to meet him, but hope his room will be ready by then - lol

25 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 25 Weeks - about 15 weeks to go

Size of baby: About the size of a eggplant. About 2 lbs and 9.2 in long

Total Weight Gain/Loss: At my last appointment I had gained 11 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Everything I wear is now maternity

Gender: Another BOY!!! We finally have a name:  Landry Cole Wyninegar

Movement: He is kicking up a storm. He's mostly active when I first get up in the morning and late at night. Hope this doesn't mean something.

Sleep: Is hit or miss. Kendall has been getting up really early here lately, so I'm a little more tired during the day.

What I miss: I guess sleep

Cravings: My main craving right now is Dr. Pepper. I have to have at least one sometime during the day.

Symptoms: No symptoms at this point. Just getting a little harder to get around or pick Kendall up.

Best Moment this week: Watching my belly move when Landry kicks.

We are in the process of going through Kendall's old clothes and toys and figuring out what we need to get for Landry. We are also trying to figure out how we want to decorate the nursery. There are days I get a little overwhelmed and think that we don't really have that much time before he gets here, and other days I think we have all the time in the world. One thing I do know is we can't wait to bring this little boy into our family.

Recent Pics

We went down to Lufkin a few weeks back, and Kendall helped his Grandmomma clean out the dog's water bowls. He is a water boy and loved every minute.

Very handsome hubby!

21 weeks

His first lollipop - I think he liked it

I hadn't taken pictures of Kendall in a while, so while we were playing in the backyard I decided to get the camera out. He is growing up so fast. I can't believe he will be 2  in just two months.

Halfway there!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 20 Weeks - 20 weeks to go

Size of baby: About the size of a cantaloupe. About 10.5 oz and 6.5 in long

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained around 8-10 lbs so far. Not to bad for the halfway mark.

Maternity Clothes: Everything I wear is now maternity

Gender:  Another BOY!!! We are in the process of picking a name.

Movement: He is kicking a lot. Bubba got to feel a little kick for the first time yesterday. I also got to feel Speckle's first round of hiccups.

Sleep: Has been very interesting. My dreams are so vivid that I feel like I'm actually there. Because of this I don't feel like I'm getting enough rest and am tired in the mornings.

What I miss: Nothing really at this point

Cravings: I've been craving cakes right now which Bubba isn't too happy about. LOL

Symptoms: Nothing to major - thank goodness

Best Moment this week: Bubba getting to feel him kick for the first time. Makes it a little more real for him.

I can't believe we are already at the halfway mark. Our 2nd little guy will be here before we know it. Bubba and I are going to start on his room soon. We got a lot of Kendall's old clothes and toys out so we can start going through them. This baby is going to have lots of hand-me-downs from his big brother. The next couple of months are going to fly by, and I can't wait!!

We are having....

ANOTHER BOY!!!

Sweet little profile
Bubba and I are very excited to be having another boy. We are going to love watching our two boys grow up and become the best of friends. Kendall is going to be a great big brother/protector. Also with all the boy things we already have this little one is set.

Everything looks great with Speckle. He is of course measuring a little big but that is to be expected since Kendall was a good healthy size. My concern was his head size since Kendall's head is a little on the large side. Our doc said Speckle's head is a little big but nothing to be worried about.

We are excited to start getting his room together, start getting his little clothes out and washed, and find him a name. Bubba and I are so blessed that not only did God entrust us with one sweet little boy but now he is blessing us with another.

My cup runneth over!!

First Day of School 2011

Kendall started back to school this morning. He had gone to one of the summer sessions and had a lot of fun, so we decided to sign him up for the school year. He got a new lunch box and backpack and was ready to go. He has the same teacher he had for the summer which helps. The only difference is that they will be learning more then they did over the summer. Today he will be learning the number 1, the color red, and the shape circle. I can't wait to hear how he did and all the fun he had.

Off to school he goes
He looks so big

On our way into to school we got to see Kendall's girlfriend Kagen and her mommy Abby. They are going to the same school just in different classes. They will get to meet up on the playground and share stories of how their day is going. I can't believe how big they are getting. Before we know it we will be walking into their graduations. :'(

Sweet babies
Once we got Kendall settled into class, Bubba and I snuck out. No tears this time which is great. I hope he has a wonderful day and has lots of fun.

Kendall, Mommy and Daddy love you beyond words. We hope you will always love school and to learn new things. We hope you have a great first year of preschool and meet lots of new friends. We are super proud to be your parents. WE LOVE YOU!!!

16 Weeks

It's crazy to think we are already 16 weeks into this pregnancy. I stole this setup from my friend Abby's blog. I loved how she was able to hit all the highlights from that week/weeks. So here are the starting highlights from my pregnancy with Baby Dub #2.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 16 Weeks - 23 weeks to go

Size of baby: About the size of a turnip. About 5oz and 5in long

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm not sure. We have an appt on the 25th so I'll know then. I don't think I've gained that much so far just because my appetite is just starting to increase.

Maternity Clothes: Jeans, capris, and shirts. I started to show a lot sooner this time around

Gender: We will find out in Sept. I say girl - Bubba says boy

Movement: I'm starting to feel him/her move. He/She really likes to thump my bladder.

Sleep: It's hit or miss. There are nights I sleep great and others not very well. I've started to have crazy dreams which don’t help with getting good nights sleep.

What I miss: My energy

Cravings: My main craving right now is Mexican food but during the day I'll have cravings for very random things.

Symptoms: Thankfully the nausea hasn't been as bad here lately. I've had some heartburn but nothing that Tums can't take care of.

Best Moment this week: Just spending time with Kendall. I know come Feb. our world is going to change, so I'm trying to spend as much time with Kendall as possible.

This pregnancy has been so different from my pregnancy with Kendall. I know a lot of that has to do with taking care of a 20 month old and Bubba having to be gone so much with work. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy it more as I start to get more energy and the nausea goes away for good.

Speckle

Yesterday I had my first official doctor's appointment. We did a sonogram and actually got to see the baby move around. I was a little worried about the size of the baby's head, but my doctor said at this point the head is going to be half the size of the body. I hope this baby's head isn't as big as Kendall's. My doctor said everything looks good and right on track. I still have to take it easy and try not to pick Kendall up that often. I haven't been as sick the past couple days and even have a little bit more energy. I hope that means my second trimester is going to be easier then the first. I've had some cravings but nothing too crazy. Sweet things are really sweet and salty have been really salty. This is a big change from when I was pregnant with Kendall because I craved Lays Salt chips. I can't wait to see how much more different this pregnancy is going to be compared to my first.

BIG NEWS.......

Well Bubba and I found out about a week or so ago that......

We are beyond excited!!!! I'm 30 minutes pregnant - hahaha. Actually I'm 5 weeks (as of Friday the 3rd) which puts our due date February 3, 2012. Bubba and I went to the doctor to have labs drawn, talk financials, and get a baseline for this pregnancy. June 30th we have our first appointment with our doctor and will have our first sonogram done. It's going to be hard to wait an entire month before getting to see this little one. Bubba and I are thrilled to be giving Kendall a sibling. It's going to be so much fun watching them grow up, play, and experience life together. We hope that Kendall and his brother/sister will always be close and have each other's back like we are with our own siblings. Please keep us in your prayers for a safe pregnancy and for a happy healthy baby.

Busy...Busy...Busy...

Wow we have been busy since we've been back in Texas. It's a little warm here, but we are still trying to enjoy the outdoors. Kendall didn't get to spend much time outdoors in Oman, so we are trying to make up some time loss. I think he is still trying to figure out what the green stuff is all around him. There is a park here that has an area call Splashpark. It has a bunch of different types of pipes that have water shooting out of them. We met up with several friends and had a great time. It was really hot so the water felt great.

We also got to see Cheri and Liam. They were in Tyler visiting friends and stopped by so the boys could play for a little while. Liam is getting so big and super cute. I hope we get to see them more now that we are home for good.

Kendall started school last Tuesday. This is his first time being in a setting like that plus being away from us for an extended time. He's only going Tuesday/Thursdays just so he can be around kids his own age. The first day was ok...he cried for a minute but had a fun time after that. The second day is a different story....he was not happy when we left. Bubba could hear him banging on the door wanting to come with us. His teacher scooped him up and distracted him which made it a little easier for us to leave. It's going to be interesting to see what this coming Tuesday brings.

The summer is already starting off busy and is only going to get busier, but it's going to be so much fun just being around family and friends.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I had the most wonderful Mother's Day a mom could ask for - I got to spend the day with my two favorite boys. Sixteen months ago God gave me the greatest gift, today I especially thank Him for allowing me the privilege to be Kendall's mommy. That little boy has blessed our lives in more ways then we could have ever imagined.

Eating breakfast with Mommy

Bubba is a pro at surprising me and today was no different. He and Kendall gave me the best Mother’s Day gift and I will treasure it the rest of my life. He took Kendall to a pottery place here in Oman and they painted a mug for me. The time and love that went into it makes it priceless. While they were painting the mug, a TV crew was there filming for the Turkish Radio Television Station. They asked Bubba if they could film Kendall painting, and he gave the go ahead. Now we have a TV star on our hands. Unfortunately it’s all in Arabic, but Kendall is still cute in any language.

It brought tears to my eyes

I put on my Facebook today- God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers ~ Jewish proverb-I believe this is very true. My mom has been by my side through great times and some not so great times. She has seen me at my best and my worst and still loves me unconditionally. No matter how old I get, I will always call her Momma and my friend. I love her more then she will ever know. I also have two wonderful stepmoms and a great mother-in-law that love me like their own. I have an amazing sister-in-law that is not only an awesome sister, but also a great mother to two gorgeous kids. In addition to all these wonderful mothers, I have fabulous “mommy friends”. They help me through the hard times, cheer me on, lift me up, and love me no matter what. I look up to ALL these amazing moms and thank God for putting such strong, loving, and fun women in my life. Without moms there would be no world.

How Great Thou Art

My stepmom, Kendra, posted this on her Facebook, and I just got a chance to watch it. This is one of my favorite gospel songs, and I think Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill were amazing. This actually brought tears to my eyes. After watching this it really made me think no matter how stressful things are with our move home, the world, or with life in general; we have an incredible God that loves us so much. Thank you God for the many many blessings in our lives!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!!!

Happy Birthday to the most amazing best friend anyone could every have. She is always there for you no matter what. My family and I are truly blessed to have her in our lives, and Kendall is so grateful to have such an incredible Godmother. Abby, we hope you have an awesome day, and we can’t wait to see you when we get back. We love you bunches and bunches!!!
