Happy Mother's Day!!

I had the most wonderful Mother's Day a mom could ask for - I got to spend the day with my two favorite boys. Sixteen months ago God gave me the greatest gift, today I especially thank Him for allowing me the privilege to be Kendall's mommy. That little boy has blessed our lives in more ways then we could have ever imagined.

Bubba is a pro at surprising me and today was no different. He and Kendall gave me the best Mother’s Day gift and I will treasure it the rest of my life. He took Kendall to a pottery place here in Oman and they painted a mug for me. The time and love that went into it makes it priceless. While they were painting the mug, a TV crew was there filming for the Turkish Radio Television Station. They asked Bubba if they could film Kendall painting, and he gave the go ahead. Now we have a TV star on our hands. Unfortunately it’s all in Arabic, but Kendall is still cute in any language.

I put on my Facebook today- God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers ~ Jewish proverb-I believe this is very true. My mom has been by my side through great times and some not so great times. She has seen me at my best and my worst and still loves me unconditionally. No matter how old I get, I will always call her Momma and my friend. I love her more then she will ever know. I also have two wonderful stepmoms and a great mother-in-law that love me like their own. I have an amazing sister-in-law that is not only an awesome sister, but also a great mother to two gorgeous kids. In addition to all these wonderful mothers, I have fabulous “mommy friends”. They help me through the hard times, cheer me on, lift me up, and love me no matter what. I look up to ALL these amazing moms and thank God for putting such strong, loving, and fun women in my life. Without moms there would be no world.

How Great Thou Art

My stepmom, Kendra, posted this on her Facebook, and I just got a chance to watch it. This is one of my favorite gospel songs, and I think Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill were amazing. This actually brought tears to my eyes. After watching this it really made me think no matter how stressful things are with our move home, the world, or with life in general; we have an incredible God that loves us so much. Thank you God for the many many blessings in our lives!!!

Happy Easter!!!

Kendall's 2nd Easter

Hallelujah! He is risen!!!
We wish you a very Happy Easter!

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
Matthew 28:1-10

Snoring

While Kendall was taking his morning nap I kept hearing this strange noise. I finally figured out that is was coming from his monitor. Being a video monitor, I could see that Kendall was sound asleep and was either snoring or talking in his sleep. Of course being a good mom and making sure I have enough video and pictures to embarrass him in the future; I grabbed the camera. I'm sure he will hate me for this later in life, but I know it will be one of the videos I will cherish.

Kendall 16 months

Kendall turned 16 months yesterday and it seems like his confidence got a big boost. He's taking a little more risks and trying out new things. He's turning into such a big boy - no longer a baby :( Plus Mollie is really warming up to him. I think those two are going to be the best of friends.
