Day at the Pool

Kendall had been under the weather the past week with a virus and teething. Bless his heart he was not feeling to great, so when he started to feel better and being more his happy self Bubba and I were very relived. Since Kendall had been cooped up in the house we decided to get him out and about. We decided to get him out in the sun and warm air, so we went swimming. The hotels here are set up to where you can pay a small fee and be able to use the pool. We met up with a couple friends and spent the day in the sun. Kendall is such a water boy, so he loved being in the water. It was just really great seeing Kendall running around with a smile on his face. I hope if he ever has to be sick again that it isn't for years and years.

Prayer Request

All right everyone I have another prayer request. This is for a couple that I went to high school with. They just had their first child a couple weeks ago. He was born with a brain condition called  holoprosencephaly and lissencephaly. This family needs a lot of prayers and for God's hand to help them through the hard times and even the good times. There is nothing more precious then a child, and I hope God hears all our prayers and puts a healing hand on this family.

The fashion of Oman

A local friend of ours got Kendall a traditional Omani outfit, and today was the first time we put it on him. The only thing missing, besides a tan, was a traditional Omani hat. He has one at our Texas home - I'm sure he's already out grown - so might get him another one to complete his outfit. Maybe he could just borrow his Uncle Rob's Omani hat. Anyway enjoy Kendall modeling his new outfit.



Walking on the beach

Bubba, Kendall, and I went to the beach again on Thursday. Kendall wasn't into to it as much as he was last week (thanks to a few teeth coming in), but I think he still had a good time. He definitely had a good nap when we got home. It was still nice to be outside enjoying the weekend with my boys. I wanted some good video of Kendall walking for our family to see how good he is doing. Thank goodness the beach is wide open space for Kendall to take off and for me to get some good video. He's growing up fast!!

Car

Kendall really loves playing with his cars. He's even started making car sounds when he drives them around. He has a couple that play a song when you push a button on the top of the car. Well last night he wanted to hear the music, but I guess he thought it was a little loud. He solved that by putting the car in the drawer of the desk. I love seeing what new things he comes up with.

Morning at the Beach

This morning we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to the beach. This is the first time Kendall's been to the beach since he's started walking, and he loved walking around. He especially loved the water. We would sit him in the sand and the next thing you know he is either crawling or walking back to the water. I'm happy that he loves water and isn't afraid of it, but on the other hand it worries me. So this summer we plan on putting him into swim lessons. It was really nice spending the morning with my boys, soaking up the sun, and playing in the water. We will be doing that again very soon. Enjoy the pictures!!



Bubba's 31st Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBBA!!

February 28th we celebrated Bubba's 31st birthday. We didn't do anything too fancy. Kendall and I got him an ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery and made him a sign with balloons. Since Bubba had to work, Kendall and I took that time to decorate house and get everything ready for when he walked in the door.

We did a little shopping here and a little in the States for his presents. Of course we had to get something UT, so we got him a hat and a book on 100 things Longhorn fans should know and do before they die. There is a perfume/cologne they make here called Amouage that smells really good. Bubba had gotten me the women's fragrance Ciel for my birthday, so I got him the men's Ciel for his birthday. It smells really good and should last him a while since I got him the big bottle.

We met up with a couple friends for dinner that night. Bubba wanted Mexican food for dinner, so we headed to Pavo's. We of course ate way too much, but had a great time. When we got home it was time for Bubba to blow out his candles on his cake. Unfortanetly we were way to full, so we had to wait until the next day to dig in - it was still yummy.
